Travel: Sneaking into The Minack Theatre

This little adventure took place the same day me and my friend visited St Ives and its Secret Gardens.

I like to travel a lot, but hate to spend money on hotel rooms. If possible, I prefer taking off by sunrise, visit one or more places, have fun and get back home by sunset with lots of photos and a few stories to tell.

This time we did not stress out that much about how early we start our journey. It takes about 2h and 30m to drive from Exeter to Porthcurno, but we knew St Ives is not to be neglected and because it was somewhat on our way we decided to go for a little detour. I regret nothing, that place was amazing and we were very fortunate to discover those Secret Gardens, but we lost track of time.

It was already half past 5pm and we were still in St Ives, debating whether the Minack Theatre is worth the effort or not. The driver was already tired and limping due to an injured calf from his soccer training, , but I insisted arguing that it's only 15 minutes away.

You must understand, we had to do something about it, we couldn't just leave.
There was no one guarding the place so we climbed the fence. I'm not proud about it, but we did no harm so I'm not ashamed either. I tried to hide from other people passing by, but that place is not designed for hide and seek. Some family, late to "the party" as ourselves, saw us inside and asked if we work there. Now ... we might have been trespassing, but we never lie. We "dropped the bomb" and kept going.

That place is incredible and to have it all for yourself is even better.
