Travel the world #10

Today with Granada. Submontane of the Sierra Nevada ski and hicking paradiese. Here is it possible to go up above 2000m and have a great view over the land. Granda was my target at this trip and I am always interested in old churches and cathedrals. I think it is a great location to take nice pictures. My first visit for 4€ was the monastery de San Jeronimo which was a main place for the catholics when the arab nations tried and occupied the Spain country. The highlight was the church inside. It was over and over with reliefs and showed a lot of situations and persons from the catholic history. IMG_1362.jpg

After a great look on the walls it doesn't stop. It also goes on to the top of the roof. If you want to see them all you need a binocular or good telezoom for your camera. It was a magical and fascinating place to be. Very quiet and spiritual.

After my visit there I went up the small street with little shops and restaurants to the Cathedral of Granada. Entrance price here was 5€ incl. an audio guide. Different languages are available and it was a lot of fun to get some more informations about the Cathedral and the rise of Granada as a very important place for the spanish catholic people.

The whole cathedral was very impressive and also massive. A hugh building right in the middle of the old town of Granada. But with the big size it doesnt feel like you are running longtime and cant find no end. It is very nice to walk the little streets and visit the little shops for tee and herbs or take some delicous food. Granada in Spain is always a journey worth.
