Motorcycle travel series by @velimir 'Zagorje 53' (Part #163)
Another small village road takes me to a mansion. It looks quite well. It has been renovated in its original style and is well preserved. The day has been long and I'm quite tired. Maybe a cup of coffee will do the trick. It is more important to see various things and enjoy them than just ride endlessly. Well, no doubt that the second has its merits... Anyway, let's stop for a while. Usually, 4-5 hours on the bike is quite enough. This 18th-century mansion looks like a good place to visit. I very much like the visible masonry parts of the front facade as well and the rounds stone covered area in front of the door.
The windows seem to be exactly as they were back in the mid-1800s. No breaking in through these. :) However, very likely also not a nice view from inside out. They were looking through that dark metal ornaments. Well, at least not bars...
Full thick wood construction of the large main door promised safety to the people living in the mansion. Those were the times without any modern sort of communication possibility in case of distress.
This is a rifle hole. Every building worth defending from that age had several of those. Well, maybe for earlier ones it was even a bigger must. So much about communication with strangers :)
Let's enter and find out what is inside!
Enjoy your day! :)
