Bhutan...have u been there?

i had been thinking of visiting Bhutan for quite some time now...Let me be honest...i should have gone there much earlier than all my Europe visits...and yes stayed back in Bhutan ..forever

i took a flight for my solo visit to Bhutan from New Delhi to Paro, Bhutan’s  international airport. This is the only one..yes almost the best and most scenic flights you’ll ever take; it’s all about the views of the Himalayas,so make sure you get a window seat. the airplane will descend in the middle of two mountains into Paro through a stunning valley with green lush land, mountains and over pretty villages.

And then i landed into the mystical land of the Buddhist monks.. it is the world’s last remaining Buddhist Kingdom  .

 after walking around the local markets to pick up some ethical souvenirs, i went in for a meal in a  meal local restaurant in the town. The food was excellent; lots of red rice, local vegetables and potatoes,chicken and their national dish - Chillies and Cheese - which is hot green or red chillies and cheese-the name of the dish is ema datchi/ema datshi..

you can choose to have it made with beef or chicken or potatoes..

the next full day  in Bhutan was spent in Paro, visiting the The Tiger’s Nest Monastery-the best site in Bhutan..it is a magnificent and a fully functional monastery, perched on a cliff 900m up from the valley. It’s only reachable by a 2.5hour trek which isn’t easy, but it’s a gorgeous hike, with scenic views the whole way. its better if u take a guide with u...and yes a bottle of water...   :)

end the day with beef momos(or veg) and beer...dont search for a budweiser but instead try their local beer..DRUK11000..if u like a strong Lager..or RED PANDA if u like a wheat beeer...burp..sorry m not a beer person but this surely tastes good...
