Beauty of Paintings and Wall of Mireuk-Jeon in Keumsan-sa Temple, Korea

in #travel6 years ago

There are lots of interesting things in Mireuk-Jeon of Keumsan-sa.
People were amazing wooden building’ scale and size, because it was so difficult to build such a 3 story wooden building.

But when you look at the building carefully, you can find other interesting things around the building.
Among those interesting things, the drawings on the wall were so impressive.
Unlike the drawings of other temples, the drawings in Mireuk-Jeon were composed of mainly figure paintings.

There were lots of figures. The figures seemed the Heaven Kings, Bodhisattva of great compassion…
The drawings were very delicate and beautiful.
The blue color was used to highlight some point. Using blue color to highlight in Buddhist drawing was not so common in my opinion.
But it was difficult for me to understand the meaning of the drawings.

Drawings and the patterns on the wall are matching very well as below

If you look closer to Mireuk-Jeon, you can find unusual beauties there.
I believe we are always surrounded by the beauties. Problem is we can not notice thous beauties.
But if your change your way of looking around and thinking, you can find real beauties around you.

The paintings are really made by a passionate painter @slowwalker although I think they have not much resources that is why the paintings have many blue color and not much of anything else, nonetheless the paintings are a stunning site to marvel about with their meanings. The Mireuk-Jeon building really is a very good example of a lasting design.

@slowwalker,
I wish those artworks are well protected! Because I could see discolor issues there! Just imagine, how long was here and how many rains and sun burn might occurred on it! But we can see those colors and artworks! That's an impressive thing! Moreover those designs and patterns! Yeah they made a great beauties that we could rare see!
Great photography of this great journey!
