EQUIPMENT. NECESSARY MINIMUM
The equipment in the journey is a set of things that not only bring comfort, perform daily functions, but also a stock burdensome burden, which can never be used during a trip, but in an emergency it can save a life.
In the last paragraph, the snag of all newcomers - they have too much imagination, so junk is taken too much.
Here I will briefly describe the list of those things that, in my opinion, are the most necessary in the journey.
The councils here are more suitable for those who prefer full autonomy for a long time, rather than moving from hotel to hotel.
Sleeping bag.
The warmer the better. In my opinion, synthetic is better - if it gets wet in wet weather, it will not freeze, unlike fluff. DO NOT Wipe EVER !!!!!!
Tent.
Single two-layer (two-tone) - to taste. The lighter the better. But the floor near the tent is better if thicker.
Carimate
Double-layer thick foam. Thin with a reflective film is not better. lighter, smaller, but not better. Inflatable mat will sooner or later pierce, although the thing is quite worthy of short sorties.
Fine clothes.
To dress and not spoil the sleeping bag. In cold weather, you still have to sleep in thermal underwear, and in summer - only x \ b, without clothes, the sleeping bag will quickly become impregnated with sweat and it will be unbearably stink.
Burner.
Here by preferences. I had a gasoline - less headache with fuel.
On the other hand, it is more often possible to build a fire, and use the burner in emergency cases (rain, city), so the gas burner is quite an optimal thing.
Although the last couple of years we do without burners at all. Cooking at the stake.
In developed countries with good service, like Thailand and Malaysia, food was prepared by the boiler at the gas stations and in the cities at the outlet.
Kateloki
One is tea, soup.
A spoon.
Do not take plastic locks. The usual spoon from the house will approach or suit completely.
Knife.
I have a folding small knife. For a year there was not a single case when I needed a knife of a larger size. A small convenient potato to clean. Of course in the jungle you need a machete.
A set of liter bottles.
From under the plastic milk to fill the food there (croup, dry pier, salt, sugar ....) They do not get wet, do not skip smells and do not have to invent anything. And from the bags, everything must be poured. But the option to store everything in the original package is more rational for hitchhiking, because the bags take up less volume, which is very important when packing a backpack.
Lighter.
It is possible and matches, but for me it is more convenient.
Thermal underwear - 1 layer.
Synthetic fitting.
Fleece warm - 2 layer.
Fleece is light, socks, not expensive and very warm. I choose it for everything that should warm up.
Membrane pants and jacket 3 layer.
The membrane will not get wet from the inside. In the usual raincoat, you still have to get wet - not from the rain, but from sweat. These are those of the few things that are better to go bust once, but to buy quality.
Socks.
Thin - though not very useful thing, but when not heat can be very useful, and the pants in them well run when a lot of mites.
Warm synthetic. Not wool! The wool gets wet with sweat and becomes useless, but how the top layer can do good.
Gloves.
A cap. (If not the tropics)
Buff.
Documentation
First Aid Kit.
Only then can you use it. (Iodine, manganese, aspirin, smecta, rehydrants, you can have some antibiotics for a rainy day, bandages - should be enough)
tool for extracting ticks.
Instruments.
Only then can you use (the minimum required depends on the transport, if any) + packing of plastic puffs, adhesive tape, cold welding, thread with needles.
Hook and loop
Just in case and for a rest.
Piece of thin rope
Drying clothes, just in case, etc.
.
Camera.
It's better waterproof ... but it's a matter of taste. Simply, what trip without pictures for memory? This is self-evident.
Navigator.
For orientation, it is not needed very much, but to find a trickle or place to sleep overnight is good and not to stray through an unfamiliar city in search of shops - an indispensable thing. (so as not to buy a new card in each new area and not to carry a hefty atlas with you, although it's possible.) And that your track would be recorded, knew the distance traveled and you can score interesting places, find out the time of sunset ... and many other useful things in a small figovine)
A set of chargers and adapters, spare batteries.
A diary.
I have a voice recorder. On paper, anyway, sooner or later something will be lost because of laziness. But here it depends on the character.
Pepper spray can.
Just in case (from people and dogs ... maybe it will save the bear, I do not know, but I hope so :))
For autonomy, a power source (solar panel or nuclear power plant)
