Victoria Falls One of the deepest waterfalls in the world is one. Find it in the best interesting places in the world. This waterfall is located on the Jambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Named after Queen Victoria, explorer David Livingstone. But locals called it 'Mashi wa tuneya'. Which means 'the smoke that thunders'.
The 108 meter deep waterfall creates fog which can be seen from 20 kilometers away. It is 108.3 meters in height and 1,770 meters in width. About 33 thousand cubic feet (935 cubic meters) of water per second falls per second. Compared to Niagara Falls, Victoria Falls is nearly twice as wide and doubled deep.
UNESCO listed the waterfalls as the world heritage site in 1989 as both the place.
The Victoria Falls (Jemgsey) bridge has been built to connect both parts of the waterfall. Trains and automobiles operate through this. Currently it is the main attraction for foreign tourists.
