My travel blog #1 - Our day trip to guimaras Island in the philippines

Hello Steemians,

I would like to share some of the cool pictures that we captured on our day trip to Guimaras Island.

Boat ride:

Our adventure started on a quick 15 minute boat ride from Iloilo to Guimaras. Boat travel is the only way to get to the island right now. A massive bridge has been approved to connect the Island of Pinay to Guimaras. The project is estimated to be completed in the next five years.

Welcome to the Island:

We stopped off to take a couple of pics of the Guimaras sign, while on our way to the resort where we would be doing some island hopping. As you might guess by the giant mango in the picture, Guimaras is world famous for their delicious mangos.

Gate to Paradise:

"La Puerta al Paraiso" is the name of the resort we would be taking off to go island hopping. The name translates to "Gate to Paradise". It truly lived up to its name.

Lots to see:

We were amazed at everything that we saw. Because of the time of year (school season just started), we were the only ones there. We had the resort all to ourselves, like our own private paradise.

Our boat:

After an hour or so at the resort, we jumped on the fishing boat and we were off for the day.
