As I told you in my previous post, Surat Thani is the largest province in the South of Thailand. This province is well-known for the sea tourism in the southern region. There are many attractive places, abundant beautiful nature and fascinating architecture, etc.

In the meantime, in the city itself, there are also many beautiful attractions.

For example, the spectacular river view along the Tapi River. The long bridge in the background looks awesome among nice nature. The atmosphere is good for relaxing.

Another charming thing when you walk in the city of Surat Thani is the old wooden houses which can make spiritual value.

If you love shopping and eating, you must not miss “San Chao Market" (San Chao means Shrine).

It is another old food market in the heart of Surat Thani city. There are a variety of food; local southern food, seafood, curry rice, pad thai, traditional local desserts, etc.

The food stalls are lined up on both sides of the small road.

This San Chao Market is located near Wat Sai and San Chao Hokkien (or Hokkien Shrine).

Wat Sai is an old temple of Surat Thani with marvelous architecture....

San Chao Hokkien is a marvelous Chinese shrine, especially if you visit at night time when the lights at the shrine are so gorgeous.

So, you can go shopping and eating and admire the beauty of the architecture of Wat Sai and the shrine in the meantime.
