Fresh kid on the block..

So I'm brand new to the Steemit community, I was recommended here from a friend and I'm really excited to give it a try. I actually joined a couple of days ago but I thought it would be nice to just have a look around for a while before posting anything. That way I could get a feel everything.

Honestly I really wasn't sure what to post and I was a little nervous, so I thought I would start off with a little about myself. Where did I start, well I'm actually from a pretty tiny island off the African coast called Lanzarote. It's a really magical place and although I know I'm probably biased I would definitely say if you ever get the chance to go you should take it. I really think I was lucky to grow up here because for a large part it's a very international place so you can find a lot of people with very open minded mentality. I'm sure it shaped a lot of who I am today and I'm grateful for that. So here are a few photos of Lanzarote starting with myself dressed up like a lima on a boat waving hello to the steemit community.

Don't look to closely at the shape of the swimming pool, nothing to see here..

The island was formed by volcanic eruptions which have made a really striking shape and colour to the like. Also I didn't mean this post to be so water oriented but hey its a pretty small island, lots of water, what do you expect?
