[Ohs Blog #04] We went to Woodbine Beach [EN] Vlog
A Great Beach Near Downtown Toronto 2018.05.26 SAT
Hello Everyone. This is April from Ohs family.
I posted a story about our adventure at Woofstock. Today I will be posting about Woodbine beach which is just across the street from Woodbine park, where Woofstock was held. As you guys know, we call it ‘beach’ but this is a beach within Ontario Lake. So, it looks like the sea, but it is a lake. If you want to double check, give it a try and taste the water. It is not salty at all.
After we enjoyed our time at Woofstock, we spent the time at the Woodbine park, chilling, having late lunch and playing fetch with Renji. We had a nice break time.
We walked around the park for a while then decided to go to the beach. Before getting closer to the water, we stopped by a shop selling canned lemonade, because we were dehydrated from all the walking in the sun. We ordered two flavors, lemon and white peach.
I preferred the lemon flavor, and Young liked the white peach. I felt the white peach is not a good match as an -ade. After we bought the beverages we realized there was a Tim Hortons behind the shop (We really wanted an ice americano, or a ice cap mmmMMm).
Passing through the wooden trails,
We could see young people who are playing volley ball,
Now we captured this wide opened beach view. I couldn’t believe this is the beach of a lake. It was calm enough to take a break near the water, because it was not packed with people even though it was the weekend.
As I took a closer look, the water was so clear that you can see the bottom, it reminds me the beach in Woo Island, the small beautiful island, which is located beside Jeju island back in Korea.
I tried to soak my feet in the water, but it was freezing cold and stepping on the pebbles were so painful. I should have brought my aqua shoes.
Renji liked this place too, she even took a nap. She might be very tired after meeting lots of dogs from the festival.
She was so adorable when she fell asleep between my husband and my knees. She may have found comfort in there.
It is very lucky to have this beautiful beach near the city area, just 30 min away from our place. We left this beach expecting to visit here again with friends.
Well, this time I collected 4 pebbles and brought it home to make Renji’s pee pad more stable. Recently we bought a new pee pad for Renji and it doesn’t fit the pad holder that I brought from Korea, it moves around the area even if Renji stands over it when she does her business.
Finally, those 4 pebbles from the beach became a very organic, potty decoration and it settle the pad very well. Good job!
I made a vlog video and uploaded on Youtube for the first time. Please have a look, you can easily see the events from Woofstock and Renji is sooooo cute trying to swim at the end of video.
Hopefully, you guys enjoyed my posting and vlog. We would be very appreciated if you visit our YouTube and subscribe our channel.
Ah! Here is the link below to check if you can swim on the beach around Toronto area. Please check it out before you visit. We found it very useful for future visit.
