Iceland Photo Trip [part 2]
Hey guys,
As I promised you in my previous post I'm about to share few more pictures from my trip to Iceland. The last blogpost was dedicated to the capital of the country - Reykjavik, but now I'd love to share with you some places outside of the city. Me and my friends took the "Golden circle" tour which goes for a whole day around the city showing us unique landscape, geysirs and waterfalls!
I totally fell in love with Iceland's nature. And if I have to be honest it wasn't that cold as I expected it to be.
First we start with the Parliamentary lake. It's called like that because the vikings in the past were gathering there to discuss public and social matters.
And this is sunrise, by the way.
Right next to the lake you can find the place where the tectonic plates of North America and Europe cross. On the picture you can see the small road right between these two giant plates. So walking there means that you're walking between continents and you are "nowhere".
This is the Gullfoss waterfall and it's really huge. Also as you can see during the winter it almost freezes. It's unique to see how big pieces of ice get stuck in the water.
The river after the waterfall from a different perspective. Beautiful isn't it?
The active Geysir right next to Reykjavik. It blows off steam every 2-3 minutes and if you combine it with the sharp winter sun you get a majestic view.
Every sunset in Iceland is unique. This is on our way back to Reykjavik.
Thanks for the time, guys! Upvote, comment and share your opinions. I'll be happy to hear them!
