Sungai Lembing Malaysia

Sungai Lembing is a tin mining town in Kuantan District, Pahang, Malaysia. Lembing is Malay for spear, and "sungai" means river. Per local legend, the local ruler saw a vision of a spear in the nearby river and thus named his town after this vision

Until the 1860s, Sungai Lembing was a major producer of underground tin.[1] Sungai Lembing town developed in the 1880s when the British set up the tin mining industry, although the history of mining in this area extends much further back. From 1891, the Pahang Consolidated Company Limited, (PCCL), which was under British control, had a 120 -year lease to mine the area. PCCL managed the mine from 1906 until its liquidation in 1986 when world tin prices collapsed

Itinerary:

Day 1:

Depart to Sungai Lembing (2pm)
Upon arrival, meet and greet and check in resort

Day 2:

In the early morning (5.30am), take about 45 minutes hike up Lembing Panorama Hill to watch the Sunrise
Return to down hill and having breakfast
Proceed to visit Hanging Bridge, Hand Make Noodle, Mining Museum & Old Mining Tunnel
Lunch
Visit Gua Charas
Back to resort

Day 3:

Breakfast (6am)
Proceed to Rainbow Falls (optional) by 4WD pass the jungle track (1hr) follow by (45 min) walk
Watching Rainbow on the cliff when sun rising and swimming from the falls
Transfer back to resort and check out (12pm)
