We're Just Two Weeks Away!!..

In case you missed my last post, @k10yoga and I have planned our next adventure which will take us to 8 different countries in SouthEast Asia. Our plans originally included 9 countries but due to flight paths, and us wanting to spend more time in certain destinations, we've narrowed it down to 8 beautiful countries that we've been dying to see together.

Getting Prepared for the Trip

Typically when someone blogs about travel all you see are the beautiful pictures of beaches and delicious foods. And they tell you what an awesome time they've had. There's nothing wrong with this approach, but I feel it doesn't deliver the full experience of travel and sets expectations that are unlikely to be met.

So before I even step foot on the first flight, I want to share with you all we have done just to get prepared for a full month of non-stop travel. Here's a list of the things we've checked off our list in just the past couple of weeks.

• Booked All Flights and Hotels (so we could get visas) ✅
• Got Chinese Visas from the Chinese Consulate ✅
• Researched the local transportation for each area ✅
• Purchased eVisas from 3 other countries ✅
• Researched Local Health & Political Concerns ✅
• Made lists of all the things we want to see in each country ✅
• Went shopping for travel-sized toiletries, mosquito repellent, etc. ✅
• Bought clothes for the hot, humid climate and for visiting temples ✅
• Researched phone service in each country and SIM cards ✅
• Arranged a pet sitter for my pets ✅
• Asked the Post Office to Hold Mail ✅
• And probably many other things I'm forgetting here!

These are just a few of the things you'll need to consider when traveling abroad for such a long length of time. And yeah, most people don't share these fine details with you LOL.
