Vacations in a magic place.
Venezuela. Maybe you’ve heard the name on the news, a country that’s going through a very difficult situation, an economic crisis, hunger, lack of medicines and food. But I’m not here to talk to you about all of that because it’s a complicated subject. But what I’m going to tell you it’s that Venezuela is such a beautiful country. Full of awesome places to go, and nice people everywhere. I’ll tell you about my experience in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It’s called La Gran Sabana and has an area of 10,820 km2. It is located in the national park Canaima. Full of rivers, waterfalls, and good vibes. The feeling of being there is amazing. The energy, the adrenaline and the fun it’s all a great experience.
I did this trip with my friends last year, we took a bus from Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar, Venezuela to Santa Elena de Uairen, Bolivar, Venezuela. A 10 hours trip at night where you can rest all the way and wake up to a great view, the Tepuys, the great Roraima. We stayed at a friends house in Santa Elena de Uairen. Since we didn’t have a car of our own we paid a guy to take us to some rivers and waterfalls.
Here there are some pictures of the first waterfall we went to which it’s called La Quebrada de Jaspe. Jaspe is a rock that you can find in nature which characteristic color red it’s given by its high content on iron. This rock covers the entire surface of this river making it look like a red river. The water there is cold but once you’ve been in it for a while you get used to it. There was no people in the place when went there which allowed us to take some good pictures and enjoy the river.
I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed that day!
