Great post! I've been living in Norway for most of my life, so I'm used to the prices here, but some things are crazy expensive. For example eating out as you said. It's so expensive that most people only eat at restaurants a few times per year.

And if you want to visit Norway for cheap, consider purchasing a tent. You are allowed to camp anywhere in nature for free in Norway! This will save you a whole lot of money. Just try your best to stay roughly 100-200 meter away from any house, and you can camp completely legally. It's also a very nice way to experience the nature as well. It might get cold, so bring some wool to wear at night in your tent ;)
