Motorcycle Travel Series by @velimir 'The Flowing Wonder' (Part #248)
'The Flowing Wonder'
The sunny road brings me to this place of wonder, and I have no choice but to park. I am standing by a creek bathing in the sunlight. I wish it was summer. Then, I wouldn't wait another minute before I take my clothes off and exchange the unbearable motorcycle heat for a soft touch of these clear waters.
But, it is winter and I am cold. However, I am free to imagine anything I want. :-) Hm, a disturbing thought just came to my mind. Remember the tale Girl With The Matches about a little girl who froze on a street full of people because no one cared? Sometimes I just cannot believe what terrible stories they tell kids and expect them to grow up into sane adults. As soon as I take another picture, I will wash my face with this clear water, just to get the story out of my head.
Refreshing! Really cold. Worked perfectly. The story has gone from my mind. A little further I hear the sound of a small waterfall and walk up the stream to take a look. This is what I find. By the sound of it, I thought it was going to be bigger but, as they say, beauty is not measured and weighed.
Sitting a few minutes by the creek and listening to the free-flowing water makes me feel good in this oasis of serenity. Wish I had one like this in my garden. Would the constant sound of water always make me feel calm or would it start making me uneasy at some point? Guess, I'd have to try.
What I do know for sure is that I feel really good for just being here. There is a huge difference in perception between a road, covered in a tall murky shadow, and a sunny lit creek. A moment to remember.
Enjoy your day! :-)

What a very catchy title! Was there any fish? The waters look really pleasant and I didn't imagine cold weather.
I am sure you didn't want to leave there.
Who doesn't love the clatter of water from a stream or rock. People sometimes assume well water comes from literal caves or underwater streams, but that is not the case. It flows straight out of the soil and rocks, but i can't explain the chemistry behind how that happens.
Just like you love being around water, Being around water gives our brains and our senses a rest from overstimulation.
When we’re near, on, in or under water, we get a cognitive break because there’s simply less information coming in. Our brains don’t shut down — they keep working, but in a different way.
I once lived near a stream and i must say that i always loved the sound coming from the stream and the chirping of the birds. You never get bored or irritated by the sound. It will calm your soul whenever you need it. Great post. Thanks for sharing @velimir.
water is life, indeed! :)
You know more than your writing i always got attracted by the collection of images you used.you and there is one other user @ironwood on steemit that always used extra ordinary images different than anyone else☺
Per normal, your photographs are extraordinary. I'm really glad you found that place and even more glad that you shared it.
I've broken ice a few times to wash my face and brush my teeth. I think I remember every single time. :)
Thanks for a pleasant start to my day.
hahaha :) yes it is quite a feeling
Things that have not happened for us who are, but make us stronger. Believe me, one day we will laugh and be loving when looking back in time, because we will realize that halo halo that we can already be like now. Life is only once, not too serious? Enjoy life and be grateful with everything we have now.
Thaks you ....
Thank you. Your words are full of wisdom! :)
Sometimes we just need a little motivation to get us off the couch and outside, exploring and adventuring in this great world of ours. The connection to place, to the land, the wind, the sun, stars, the moon... it sounds romantic, but it's true - the visceral experience of motion, of moving through time on some amazing machine - a few cars touch on it, but not too many compared to motorcycles. I always felt that any motorcycle journey was special.
Such a lovely scenery! I'm jealous 😁
When I was a youngster - say in high school, we used to go to a stream regulaly - on a weekly basis, it was indeed refreshing - after a week of full steem learning from morning until night we did need somthing to distract us and refresh our body and soul.
It might sound like a small thing - but just like we can see that the small "waterfall" in the picture creates substantial sound and is really eye pleasing without regard to his size, such experiences - little gems of pleasure in the middle of the life race - are keeping us happy and willing to face the hardships and wear of the everyday.
Thanks for the photos velimir!
my pleasure, my friend!

Thanks God you didnt dive in freezing water.
It is so beautiful and calm place, as it seems, that everybody would feel peace and pleasure there.
And you are right, I too had goose bumps after reading such insane stories and I wonder about those incidents.
Thanks for sharing another beautiful place. It's love to travel with you :)
