#1 Alert Village, Canada
The Alert village, located in Nunavut, Canada, is a permanently inhabited place on Earth. It is situated approximately 500 miles below the north pole and is one of the most fascinating and remote places in the world. The village is surrounded by several isolated valleys and hills and the seashore is covered by ice almost half of the year.
Amazing fact: Alert is prone to 24-hour darkness during the winter days and 24-hour sunlight during the summer days.

#2 Motuo County, China

From the alp Frigid zone to the Salva zone, you'll get to fitness rugged terrains, beautiful waterfalls, dense forests and crystal clear lakes.
Amazing fact: It is the only county in China where the entry of automobiles is prohibited. It is highly prone to geographical disasters like landslides, earthquakes, and flooding.
The only means to access the area is trekking over a frozen route via the Himalayas and crossing over an old suspension bridge.
#3 Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland
This place is so remote that it has been voted as the remotest place in the western hemisphere. It is a home to merely 350-400 people. The town is marked by wooden dwellings painted in splashes of bright blue, red and green shades on a coastal bed of grey rocks. The village is situated on the eastern shore of Greenland and the north of Iceland.
The airport of the small islands accommodates only 2 flights per week. Most of the population survives on fish and polar bear and whales are their regular visitors.

Surrounded by a rugged terrain and beautiful little waves dancing on the tunes of the blowing wind, this island is accessible only by boat 7 days a week.

The McMurdo Station, situated on the northern tip of Antarctica, is the most populated research stations, with approximately 1,200 scientists working in the area. Though extremely remote and isolated from the neighboring countries, there are 3 airstrips in McMurdo, which means that the population can easily access the place, as well as many modern amenities belonging to it.
Amazing fact: The highest temperature that was ever recorded at McMurdo was 10.5 °C (50.9 Fahrenheit) on the morning of December 30, 2001.
