Dulu Aceh sempat membuat sebuah event layang-layangan international yang mengundang banyak wisatawan mengunjungi Aceh. Namun sangat di sayangkan sekarang event bagus ini sudah tidak ada lagi.
Kite Festival merupakan acara layangan pertama di Aceh skala International. Tim Wisata Aceh sempat mengabadikan sedikit acara tersebut.
