Crevasse Bridge at High Altitude /// 높은 고도의 크레바스 교량steemCreated with Sketch.

From a climb we did many years back of Mt. Rainier near Seattle, WA (14,410). Called the "training ground of the himalayas" for it's wide variety of climbing route difficulties, glaciated peak, and cadre of world-famous climbers that train and guide there. Hardest thing I've ever done--absolutely unforgettable! This was a less-common sunset summit, descending at night. We had a full-moon and temps in the 20's, with about a 50mph wind--in July!

Here we had to stop about 1,000ft shy of the top, to bridge a crevasse that had widened in the summer sun. It wasn't terribly wide but it was VERY deep, at least 100ft that was visible. This was a popular route so steps were also dug on.
