Take me back to Baguio

It's almost summertime and it's getting quite hot here in the Metro. Where can we go to chill and hang?

Let's go to BAGUIO!

Baguio is known as the "Summer Capital" of the Philippines. It is located in Northern Luzon. Many tourists-- Filipinos and foreigners-- go there to visit many beautiful places where you can both just relax and have fun.

Baguio has a cool climate that makes it one of the most go-to places when you want to escape the hustle and bustle in the Metropolis. Good place. Cool climate. Affordable souvenirs and there's also a night market. :)

I've been to Baguio once during our family outing back in 2016.

I remember feeling excited going there because it's my first time. The trip from Manila to Baguio took around six hours by bus. Before we got to the city proper, we were welcomed by breathtaking views.

We stayed at Ashburn's Transient Rooms. It is located at 9-B Ashburn's Transient T. Alonso St., Color Gray Bldg, Baguio, 2600 Benguet. Their telephone number is (074) 246 0384. The place is clean and the staff are very kind and accommodating.

First stop of our DIY Tour is in Mine's View Park

This place overlooks the mining town of Itogon-- hence the name.

After a long day of touring, we were still able to visit the Night Market. It's very cold and it's a bit raining when we went outside.

We weren't able to take more photos because of security purposes. Lots of people flock the night market. It is a nice experience to roam around at night to search for souvenirs and buy some pre-loved items.

The Next Day...

Camp John Hay and The Butterfly Sanctuary

We went early to Camp John Hay. The temperature is tempting for a jog. The place is a former military base of the United States Armed Forces. Inside you can also find the Butterfly Sanctuary.

Here are some of the photos:

Here's the very funny and kind caretaker. I think he's a butterfly whisperer. Haha. He also gave us some information about the gentle beautiful creatures.

We went back to Ashburn to nap and rest for a while because there was a lot of walking that happened that day. We decided to eat dinner at one of Baguio's famous restaurants-- 50's Diner.

The place, as the name suggests, has a retro hollywood vibe.

Food is good and they have big servings

There's also a vintage car sitting outside the place.

Here's a photo of happy and satisfied customers. Kudos to 50's Diner for an awesome dining experience.

Our 3-day vacation in Baguio is one of my most memorable travels. First is because I'm with my family. This trip also made my parents very happy. Second is I was able to visit another place and learn new things. Third is we didn't spend a lot of cash during our 3-day stay.

Thanks for dropping by. :)
