Fransiska and Mathilda, 24, moved from Camp 3 on Wednesday at 23:30 pm Nepal time or Thursday morning local time. A member of the support team in Bandung, M. Reinaldo Theta Auriga, said yesterday the climbers team arrived at Camp 3 at an altitude of 8,300 meters above sea level (mdpl).

Other information from social media accounts WISSEMU mention the height above 8,000 mdpl commonly called the death zone. Low oxygen levels and altitudes that are not designed for the human body will be the toughest challenge.

In addition, every climber has a deadline to survive. Climbers are warned not to be in the death zone for 24 hours.

In the zone of death, reportedly, there are about 300 bodies of climbers who died due to several factors. When entering the death zone, the amount of oxygen that can be inhaled is only 30 percent compared to that in the lowlands. Climbers were required to use oxygen cylinders.

The biggest factor of hunter death is poor breathing arrangement, so the oxygen canister runs out. Other factors include falling and hypothermia.

Note WISSEMU also mentioned, in such circumstances, all small things can have a major impact and lead to death. Some climbers died just because of falling asleep while climbing.
