RE: The Faces of Sakura - Kyoto & Tokyo - Japan

in #travelfeed7 years ago

Been meaning to comment on this post for a week or so now - had it open in browser and lost earlier comment, so here's a next-day-redo, coz it's such a great visual post on the cherry blossom, which I really love too :D

Really beautiful photos, brings the freshness and the variety of sakura to life - and how wonderful to find them everywhere, and taken care of and respected.

We've got the daffodills at last here in Scotland, and I saw a bumble-bee for the first time this year a couple of days ago, which buzzed a hello outside my window :) ...... but the blossom's ain't out yet.

I lived for a while at my uncle's in the remote NW of Scotland. He had a cherry tree and I watched and waited, and then I spotted the very first (actually two simultaneously) blossom that emerged (pic below of tree in full bloom)

How dull the world would be without flowers, and without such appreciation of beauty. Thank you @wanderlass

Thank you for this pretty photo! It's awesome to have a cherry tree on your uncle's backyard. You can have a hanami or picnic under that tree. Just watching it makes me feel good.

I had to google what daffodils look like and they're also beautiful! We don't have it here though. Not a lot of colorful flowers bloom in our weather so I'm really excited when I see them. :)
