Sizzling Sisig

I just enjoyed my 2th plate of Sizzling Sisig. One of the Philippines local favorites . A dish that (as the name might suggest ) is served up piping hot and the plate is still sizzling. My first encounter with this type of dish was in Puerto princesa in Palawan . Where their local specialty is Crocodile Sisig. It was served up with minced crocodile, and some sliced red onions. But without the egg , which the traditional Sisig is usually served up with.

I decided to try the most basic Sisig today , because this is the most known type of Sisig , but they have actually many varieties of it. With almost any type of meat and fish.

My wife @fernwehninja had the pork belly version and it was absolutely delicious, as well as the basic version . It was supercheap with some ice tea included . Only around 70 to 80 pesos, which is only around 1.30 $ and like 1.10 €

If you are a food explorer and like to try local dishes , i can definitely recommend this one. And also the Bangus Sisig . Which is milkfish , that my wife had yesterday. I tasted only a bit, but i really loved the saltiness of it. Super scrumptious, the soy smells pretty good.

You will be surprised on what benefits you can get with this dish.

It's a true Palawan delicacy with a few health benefits . It seems to be good for asthma , it's low in fat and Cholesterol and it known as an aphrodisiac.

There is one very known local dish i would still like to try in the Philippines, which is Bolot. A duck embryo which you can get a different stages of development. I am still looking for the courage to try that , and i have o ly 3 days left here . So it will be last minute. But i think i will get there.

The struggle is real people 😂

I hoped you enjoyed reading my Filipino food discoveries, and there is mire to follow.

I wish you all a very good day , and salamat for reading!
