I lived in Aberdeen for 4.5 years so I'm familiar with the winters there. Never went to Orkney though. Looks kinda nice.

Lol! I've never been called lazy for not going to Orkney before. I guess that makes me lazy for not going to Straddie or Moreton either. :)
Now you make me sound like a meanie. It's ok I understand your fear of boats. There was talk of making a bridge to Straddie a few years ago and they are talking it up again. I hope not. Enough Brissy ice addicts coming over already haha.
As convenient as that would be, I'm not sure how I feel about a bridge.
