Parvati Valley, Where I walked With 6200 Meter High Mountains

in #travelfeed5 years ago

The picture belongs to one of the famous valley of Himachal Pradesh, known as Parvati Valley. There are plenty of routes to explore, plenty of six thousands peaks. This is pyramid peak which is situated at Udi Thach.

I was with my friend and we were on the expedition to cross Parvati valley from Manikaran side. We twisted the route little bit, instead of starting the official route from Barshaini we started it from Kasol village. So the plan was to cross two mountain passes in one go. In this expedition we crossed Sar pass (4200 meter) and Pin parvati pass (5319 meter).

Parvati valley has been completely covered by a sheet of colorful flowers, blue flowers have won over various color's flowers. Feeling of walking on blue carpet was something else. Now it is 3 o'clock in the afternoon and we see nothing except two horses. We are on the way to despair, broken legs and crushed shoulders. Crossing over 2 dozen crazy waterfall, we see some tents far away. There is not enough power left in our legs to reach there. We reach the place where we saw few camps at 4 pm.

I go to visit the site, which was about 100 meters far from the main trail, there is a dog who wants to bite me. I shout help and run away and want to save my life by entering closed tents, finally after 5-7 minutes hearing my voice one person came out of another tent, I get out of the tent, after which the dog becomes our friend. So this is how we got help, stay, food and friends after walking all alone strength 4 days.

We reached our destination after 11 days of walking. Finally we were at Mud village of pin valley. The Mud village is last habbitat of spiti valley towards pin valley.

It is my small description about one of the best treks of my life. I hope you enjoy the nature as much as I do. Thanks....

Note: The best time to visit the valley is between Jun-July and Sep-Oct. One has to carry their luggage with all the required things like, tent, sleeping bag, mattress, ration, stove, light and trekking pole.
