The Guaramacal National Park, also known as General Cruz Carrillo, is located between the State Trujillo and Portuguesa, Venezuela. Located in the Guaramacal Massif, it is part of the Andes Mountains and has an area of ​​about 215 km². It was created in 1988 with the purpose of protecting a representative sample of the high forests of the eastern sector of the Andes Mountains. Guaramacal is characterized by its high levels of endemism, the presence of several species of fauna in danger of extinction. Its low levels of anthropic intervention and continuity in its administrative plans are two of the strengths that make Guaramacal one of the best preserved National Parks in the country.

On this walk through this forested protected area, combine high mountains of humid forest with deep valleys. The life of the birds is represented by beautiful specimens of colored feathers such as Andean flamingos, parrots, eagles, condors, tufts of Pauji stone, Andean turkeys, hummingbirds and many birds that walk freely in the park.
