While we were climbing up the windy road, the temperature dropped from 30℃ (86 Fahrenheit) to 18℃ (64.5 Fahrenheit) within about 30 minutes and the visibility on the road went from “breathtaking mountain views” to “wait, wasn’t there a road in front of us one second ago?”.

The pain was so tremendous, that it was the only highlight of the day. I didn't even notice the beauty of the lush green mountains in the monsoon. The day was spent head down, grinding away on the pedals. Continuously question my decision of cycling in the Himalayas.

On our way, even though we were very tired, we encountered so many beautiful temples that we had to stop and visit them. Every 5 minutes of cycling in Chiang Mai would bring you to a tourist attraction. They literally perfected the city for tourists.
