🏆 TRAVELFEED WEEKLY ROUND-UP #46

in #travelfeed6 years ago

Welcome to today's Weekly Travelfeed roundup brought to you by @for91days.

Every Sunday, during the weekly recap, we try to keep you in the loop about our TravelFeed dApp, and today, we're happy to announce some brand new features and enhancements. Read all about them via this link. We're making slow but steady progress, and I'm pretty sure we'll have some exciting news by next Sunday. But for now, please pay special attention to our favorite three articles submitted this past week.

Please note - we are still in search for one more curator to cover a day or two a week. If you are interested, please contact us on discord (kindly find a link at the bottom of the page). Now let’s get reading!

Three BEST posts of the week

A quick recap - For the weekly round-up, we feature the best 3 posts out of the ones previously featured in the daily topic curation posts in the past week and on top of that 10 honorable mentions that closely did not make it into our resteems last week. The rewards will go to the first three places as follows: 1st place - 3 STEEM, 2nd place - 2 STEEM and 3rd place - 1 STEEM.

The 1st Place

Jordan Series - The First Steps Into The Kingdom
written by @doskinas

Here are some key pointers we have learned while traveling and doing the research about Jordan: You can travel with the tour agency. But you will never experience the true Jordan this way. It will always be planned to the minute by the tour company without time for cultural immersion. You are like a passing comment – seeing but not experiencing it.

The 2nd Place

Rome - LOVE at first sight
written by @lashotta

From the unobvious places to visit, I can recommend you Aventine Hill, where you have a beautiful view of the city and the Vatican. The dome in the St. Peter's Basilica stands majestically above the buildings. I especially recommend going there at sunset!

The 3rd Place

Hiking an iconic landmark near the town of Ella in Sri Lanka
written by @steef-05

During the British colonial period, a 24 meters high and 91 meters long bridge was built at Gotuwala between the Ella and Demodara train stations. Still locally known as ‘Ahas Namaye Palama’ meaning nine skies bridge, it's by most others known as the Nine Arch Bridge. The entire bridge is made from rock and bricks. The story goes that initially, they meant to build it with metal. But due to World War I all the steel and metal was reassigned for military purposes.
