A little Village on the clouds..!!

Hello!!

Today I would like to talk about this amazing village in Oaxaca Mexico called San Jose Del Pacifico, located 2562 meters high on the mountains, 139 Km south Oaxaca City, and 177 Km away from Puerto Escondido one of the best Surf places in Mexico. With Only 550 people living there which is 285 men and 265 women.
The transportation to get there if you are in Oaxaca city, ther is a local station where you can get your tickets for a really cheap price, when you are buying them they offer you some drowsiness pills because the road its full of curves going up to mountain. We really didnt think the pills were necessary but we bought them anywaysm after the first 30 mins on the transportation we took them but that was really wild still.

This beautiful village has the most amazing view between trees, really low clouds that covers the some areas, the weather was windy and rainny, to get to the hostel we need to walk up the mountain, little hard the last part to get
cause the rocks were wet, but it made it even more interesting to get there.
It is just so impresive how dense the jungle could be up there, the diferend animal sounds you can from your room the echo aganist the mountains, you feel the real conection.

Once we get to the hostel it was even better than we though, we got a Cabaña for 2 people for $100pesos that would be $6USD, it was a simple one bed but with and amazing view the sunset was just beatiful seen it from there. what we didnt really expected was that after rain it got super cold, that we could hear the cabaña cracking, the bed has a big blanket made it with 6 smalls ones, that actually keep you really warm for a cold night.

we heard from many people about it how magical and powerful this place is, many people pass by when they are coming back from the beach and it is actually one street the hole village, but what no so many know is that this place has the big mushrooms called "Derrumbe". Every year on june the season begins and fnishes until september, this mushroom were used by the Zapotecas one of the cultures in that area, the discoverer was Maria Sabina most know for her picture where she is smoking a joint.
Even if the drugs are not legal in Mexico the mushrooms became the most important for the economy to this little place.
