My travels #1 - Milan, a city for rich people only?

in #travels7 years ago (edited)

Milan is one of the biggest and most famous cities in Europe. It's perfect for a few days trip and it's not as expensive as you might think it is.

When I was planning our trip to Milan I thought that 4 days would be sufficient for visiting Milan, Bergamo and Como Lake - I was totally wrong. Milan is not as boring as it's written in the internet, actually I was pretty surprised how many interesting places there is.

But let's just begin :)

We started our trip in Warsaw - Modlin, of course I wouldn't be myself If I hadn't eaten anything at the airport :)

Our bus went through the centre of Warsaw - it was saturday so we could avoid the traffic jams.

We spent about 3 hours at the airport so I could just watch the planes taking off and landing, i'm a huge geek of aviation so I just couldn't let such opportunity pass ;)

And the moment has come - we took off. Our flight lasted about 1,5 hour, the pilot was a little...crazy, the landing was so hard :D

But we've finally landed in Bergamo, which is 40km away from Milan.

Can you see the Alps down there?

We took a bus to Milan, it stops at the Milano Centrale Station where we took our next bus to our location.

I don't want to bore you with too many words so I'll just put some photos that will just do the job :)

Of course there is so many places where you can spend sooooo muuuuch money...

And much more places where you can eat, but away from the city centre, remember, NEVER eat in the city centre, there is much more expensive. Search for the places where Italians usually eat, I assure you - you'll find the best pizza there. "Our" restaurant serves italian and chinese food, the staff is so nice but they don't speak english AT ALL, seriously. It took so much effort to order something else then pizza or spaghetti, there were so many misunderstandings I even stopped counting :) I recommend learning a few italian words before you go to Italy, for real.

Enjoy:

So, the day 4th has come and we had to head back to Bergamo Airport and then back to Poland.

Super post i super zdjęcia, ale ciężko się go czyta przez tłumaczenia pod każdym zdaniem.
Według mnie lepiej zrobić albo

  • dwa oddzielne posty [ENG/PL]
  • Dwa teksty (pierwsze np. ENG później PL
  • PL i ENG w tabelce

Zastanawiałam się właśnie w jaki sposób to zrobić, żeby było czytelne, dziękuje za wskazówki :)

Great post! Thank you for sharing! I have never been to Milan but one day for sure!
