Do trees talk to each other?

Surprisingly, the answer to this question is yes. Trees really interact with each other, although they may seem like tall and silent types.

The mycorrhizal mushroom network of large old trees called mother trees plays a key role in supporting other trees in the forest, and in particular the survival of their lineage.

According to Simard, in order to make room for their children, they arranged their competitive behavior and transmitted signals through the mycorrhizal fungal network.
