Habits
The word "habit" is closely related to character. Habits refers to an individual's disposition or tendency to respond to a situation in a certain way. Habit is developed in the course of socialization through constant repetition of behavior or a particular set of procedures. Habit is the force behind character. An individual of good character exhibits good behavior as a matter of course, without much temptation to do otherwise and without much conscious deliberation the good character emanates from the strong force of habits. Therefore, we can say that character is formed through habits. There are two broad domains of habit, namely virtues and vices. Virtue refers to acceptable, normal, morally anticipated actions while vice, which is the opposite of Virtue, refers to bad and unacceptable behaviour.
