I think this is summed up beautifully in the verse of a great Hindi blessing, that we perform at the beginning of each satsung, at my local ashram.
Jyota se jyota jagavo
Sataguru jyota se jyota jagavo
Mera antara timira mitavo
Sataguru jyota se jyota jagavo

Thank you! That certainly feels good to think that I'm aligned with some of the ancient teachings :-) Does that blessing have a name? If not I'll just translate the words, but I'd love to see if there is a specific translation for the whole piece.
