A tourist trip to Paraguay

When we talk in Paraguay the first thing that comes to mind is the word shopping, which is true for Brazilians and Argentines, and that is also a tourist attraction in the country. But there is much more to the country than you might think. Market of the city of Asunción

The market of the city is known for its good quality and enormity. It is a very interesting place of Asunción, where most of the commerce is concentrated and you can find almost everything there with lower prices.

It is a walking tour that can be done on foot with the possibility of experiencing the country's food and is a great opportunity to get to know the local culture.

Independence House Museum

Visiting the museum is possible to know more about the history of the country, stage of events that led to independence in 1811. Located in the center of Asunción, it has 18th century architecture and its interior maintains the period furniture, as well as other items on display , such as documents, household utensils and paintings of historical characters.

National Pantheon of Heroes

Originally built as a Catholic temple, it is a monument located in Asunción and houses the remains of characters such as Carlos Antonio López and Francisco Solano López, besides tombs of two unknown soldiers, and it is possible to visit this area.

National Museum of Fine Arts

With hundreds of works of art on display such as paintings, sculptures, pottery, photographs, plus old coins, furniture and some personal belongings of the museum founder. The place has Italian, French and Argentinean art and also has works by Paraguayan artists.

In the building was also the National Library of Paraguay and the National Archives of Paraguay.

Botanical Garden and Zoo of Asunción

Laguna Blanca

Scientific Monument Moisés Bertoni

In an area of ​​199 hectares on the banks of the Paraná River, the Mbya Indians who reside in the region, do their tribal dance and then offer visitors the craftsmanship done by them. This monument was the home of Moses Bertoni, a Swiss scientist who settled in this area where today is a museum. He rendered his services to the people and the government of the country, becoming Minister of Agriculture of Paraguay.
