Which one would you buy?

These are the two top (well at least today) casino dividend tokens on the Tron network. Tronbet's ANTE is the OG dating back to October/November last year. They've built a loyal community of investors and gamblers. While 888 entered a bit later with a game that didn't really work but they persevered and changed their dividend model and this week they've been on fire.

If you haven't been following this trend, the Tron blockchain network has become home for a generation of decentralized applications for a range of casino games - the decentralized aspect of them extends to the profit sharing, so broadly speaking whenever you play one of these games, whether you win or lose you get awarded a token that entitles you to a share of the profits from the last 24 hours in ANTE's case or 48 hours for 888. Many people treat this like mining the coin - they're not really gambling to win more TRX today, they're accumulating dividend tokens - there's much speculation about how much these games are attracting "real" gamblers - ie people who will play and win or lose regardless of whether they're getting a dividend and how much they're just another fad for creating new tokens for traders to speculate on (yeah, it gets a bit circular...)

ANTE has been plodding along, but this week people noticed that the 888 dividend pool was increasing. This meant that more people started mining it and the more people that mined it the bigger the dividend pool got. 888 is now halfway through it's 48 hour pool period and the pool's just under 90 million TRX. The total number of tokens sharing that is about 11 million so each token will pay you about 8TRX. If you want to jump in without playing any games, the token is now being traded on trontrade.io - you would pay 30 TRX to get 8TRX tomorrow and, so the thinking goes, another similar payout every 48 hours until the miners stop playing so much. So it's a gamble on a gamble on a gamble. If you think this can last for another 8 days and that the divs will stay the same or go up, then today would be a good day to buy.

On the other side, ANTE's dividends have been disappointing of late (perhaps because all the liquid money is over in 888) and so their price has drooped. But looking at their respective track records, ANTE would seem to be the better long-term bet, it has a strong dev team that has delivered many improvements and new games. They're just getting ready to run an event where they're giving away 5 TESLAs so they've got some money in the bank. They're also regularly burning and buying-back tokens from the market to keep everyone on their toes - so far this has grown the price nicely.

So 888 looks great from a short-term gains perspective and ANTE looks cheap for the long term. Both of them look much more interesting than buying and hodling shitcoins!
