The Great Pyramid of Guiza (also known as the Pyramid of Keops or of Jufu) is the oldest of the seven wonders of the world and the only one that still remains, besides being the largest of the pyramids of Egypt. It was ordered to be built by the Pharaoh of the fourth dynasty of Ancient Egypt Keops. The architect of this work is Hemiunu.1
The estimated date of completion of the construction of the Great Pyramid is around 2570 BC, being the first and largest of the three great pyramids of the Necropolis of Guiza, located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. It was the tallest building on earth for 3800 years,2 until it was superseded in the 14th century by the spire of Lincoln Cathedral in EnglandNote 1, and the tallest stone building in the world well into the 19th century, then surpassed by the spire of St. Nikolai's Church in Hamburg.
