Trump to regulate Bitcoin
According to Bitcoin news outlets, Trump administration is considering regulating the cryptocurrency market.
2017 was one of the most successful years for Bitcoin and crypto market in general. This success has gained major attention of key financial institutions in the U.S. and abroad. The more of these financial giants enter the market, naturally, the more regulated the market becomes. Recently White House press secretary has indicated that the White House is monitoring Bitcoin and considers regulating it.
This shouldn’t be a surprise to many in the game. Recently IRS won a case against Coinbase to disclose information of its users. The more people get involved with crypto, the highte the chances for government to regulate this sector.
One of the reason that Bitcoin and other cryptos were able to grow is because of little to no government intervention. Regulations can hurt digital currencies but at the same time provide assurance to investors.
It’s a wait and see time…
