It's All Perception

For months, the liberal media has been hammering away on the pieces of the Russia investigation. Rachel Maddow, in particular, has done an outstanding job of putting together a pretty convincing argument, laying out the complicated steps of the plot methodically since the election of Donald Trump. Anyone who has been paying attention has to know that there's something rotten in America, more foul than ever before.

And yet, the latest conservative media has launched yet another attack on Hillary Clinton, trying to divert the attention of Americans about the facts of the investigation to focusing once again on their favorite scapegoat. The average American is not all that bright when it comes to psychological manipulation, as the facts continue to suggest as they come out. Now the Trump organization is attempting to convince the public that it was the Democratic campaign that launched the investigation conducted by Christopher Steele which eventually produced the Trump dossier. And people will likely believe that, especially if they get their news from Fox News. The truth is that the investigation was actually initiated by Republicans who wanted to thwart Trump's nomination and were conducting opposition research. The funding was later assumed by the DNC after Trump received the nomination.

We have been so manipulated by the media that we don't even want to know new facts as they are revealed if they are perceived to be damaging to the candidate we supported. And that is frightening. Because we are all Americans. And NOT being open to finding out the truth, whatever it turns out to be, could end up being the "undoing" of our democracy as we've always known it.
