What is truth?
This is probably one of the most powerful and timely talks I've ever heard. In a world immersed in relativism, we need to regain a firm understanding of the truth.

Truth is what works. It's beliefs all the way down . . .
If you listen to the talk he goes over the different levels of truth. However, the level of truth we operate on is referred to as logical truth. Which can easily be summarized as the conformity of what's in our mind with reality.
I study logic, and that is the correspondence theory you are suggesting. I am suggesting, along with many, that there is no direct correspondence between our ideas and "reality". Rather, reality is simply what supports our "ideas", i.e., makes our ideas "work".
I understand, and reject that theory. Descartes destroyed philosophy IMO.
