RE: Speaking Truth: The New Hardest Thing to Do in the Age of Disinformation
Why you don't get anyone to listen to you? It's simple.
I've read your post very carefully and I noticed that almost every sentence in the post begins with "I'. The few sentences that don't are about "people" or "the rest of the world".
None of your readers is you ( except you of course ), and neither is "people" or "the rest of the world". Each person is an individual with a unique point of view, different from yours. Therefore, it is not that "people don't see the truth", it's that each person sees something different.
No.one sees the bare truth, and no matter how long you will examine something, you will always be biased. The further you go, the less you know because your knowledge becomes more and more based on your past experience. If you want people to listen to you, you should listen to them about 99℅ of the time. Only then you can say something back that will resonance with them.
And if you want to pass a message that is tough to swallow, make that 99.9℅ listening.
Your special version of % catched my eye. It's actually tiny c/o :D
Gee I never noticed that. It's not mine tough, it's Google's
I have a tinfoil theory about that. It could be Google's way of tracking people. :P
