RE: If You're New To Steem, Then You May Want To Watch This Video: 'Resource Credits' Explained For Beginners

in #tutorial6 years ago

Perfect. Thanks for doing this.

I dropped by a couple of intro posts to quickly explain this stuff to a couple of noobs before they get carried away. I'm sitting there typing away, explaining, didn't want to just copy/paste and be a robot. I think I'll just send them this link.

Tried to teach one to budget. They wrote the post, then upvoted each comment and said thanks to everyone; basically wasting half of their RC in one post. I suggested maybe write at the bottom of the post "Due to my limited RC, I'll say thank you now." I guess that kills a lot of birds with one stone, right? LOL!

I wrote a post earlier today explaining how I feel about all this. I'm not as frustrated as the rest of pack. I see potential here but people really need to change their habits, have a look at the intro posts, find what they like, and help get some of these noobs out of a jam with votes. One solid intro post could mean these people can already double their RC, maybe, if they power it up.

Thanks a lot for your comment and inspiration! I started to comment on introduction posts as well but then thought it could be easier to do one video for all of them, so that was basically my motivation. In fact the idea was to share the link with as much people as possible :-)

I'm not frustrated either and have few understanding for people with a 70+ rep who're driving all people crazy with their Steem is going to die-messages. That won't help anybody, including themselves.

The biggest potential I see is that people will be accountable for their own doings and focus on what really matters. Supposedly a large majority will be more focussed and not waste any mana for unnecessary statements. That might even lead to a higher quality of content. We'll see :-)

Again, thanks for stopping by and for your efforts on educating the new members in the community! I'll join you there :-)
