I've quitted Twitter !

It's been 1 week since i've quitted Twitter !

And it's one of the best decisions of this year. Yeah i know, it's only been 22 days on 2018… Anyway.

Twitter what ?

No, it's 2018 you can't ask me that.
I've been actively on Twitter, since 2011. Launched my account like any geek ultra-curious in 2010 i think, looked at it twice, followed some media, big brands and posted 3 tweets. Then closed it and didn't opened it again until a full year or more.

It's a friend who told me to make an account, «it's better than facebook blablabla».
And it's my girl, who gave me the interest to become active on it a year after signin up. We were'nt together at this time, she was just an early adopter and forced me to follow her and her highscool adventures at this time.

I became more addicted, virulent and «famous» than she was in half the time you take to undestand this sentence.

Oh i forgot to say Hi, and may you forgive my french accent. I'm currently working on thinking and writing directly in english. And for a french native, it's Hard !

So Last week, I decided to quit twitter.

After 7 years, 227000 tweets, 1180 followers and 0 likes. (Yeah, that's important)

And I didn't count my first account… never mind.

Some of you will think that's a lot of tweets for so few followers. But my French West Indies niche, is not really the most crowded one. And it's not an international account, it's my day to day twitter bullshit, meme and thoughts account.
I talk about everything and nothing on it. Every thing that travel throught my mind have 83% of chance to end up in a 140 now 280 characters post.

I've never used the like button (favorite button back in the days) because i don't find it useful. I prefer to use the search form if I want to find something back. Maybe the developer mind.

Why did i Quit ?

I want to boost my life these days. I just sign for a new fulltime job, to reduce my freelance (struggling) jobs, I'll post on this later and focus on my business projects beside work.
I was in a routine.
Waking up to my notifications, loosing 10minutes on scrolling my TL on twitter, instagram before getting out of bed.
At work, i was logged on tweetdeck, never loosing a tweet funny, serious or whatever.
I used to live tweet my reasearch and developing process. Giving free advices to my followers on health, business or tech.
And all that took a lot of time. So i quit.

I'm not usually a quitter. Sometimes you have to break franckly to see the difference.

It's like stopping sugar, if you decide to, you have to stop it all, because even the small amount of it, call for more. (you can remplace sugar by whatever drug you want)

It's been a week

(and counting)

Now my mornings are rythmed by a mantra, wanabe yoga postures and thoughful music. I don't use my smartphone until everything else is done. And it's better like that.

I find my way back to writing (this is the first since a while). My girl already noticed I talk more about what I think to her. Yeah it's akward but before I used to tweet my thoughts and she will discover some ideas online before we speak about it.

I won't say, I'm more productive to work because i'm still hyper multitasking. (I'm actually writing this from my day work office…)

It's a process in constant improvement. Give me your thoughts !
