#Ulog Day 19: The Sampaguita Vendor
SAMPAGUITA - (National Flower Of The Philippines) - All through the history of the Philippines, Filipinos have loved the sweet scent and aroma of Sampaguita or "Jasminum Jambac". The flowers are tiny, star-shaped and color white. The blossoms open during the evening and shrivel in under a day. They develop on short stalks either independently or in groups. It is a one of a kind element that the blooms have a sweet scent. The oil from the flower is very similar to Jasmine.
Good evening!
Today was another long day. In the morning before waking up, the power already went off and it lasted for a couple of hours. Before humidity hits bad, I had to run some errands with my daughter. Though it was kind of late, we left the house before 10 am. We first stopped at a Remittance Center close to our house to pick up some money. Then we traveled to another town to buy some school supplies, groceries and some house needs. We were done around 12 noon. I wanted to get a massage (blind massage therapy) but before that, we had to stop at McDonald's for lunch. Our hungry tummies cried for some chicken and spaghetti. We were done around 2pm.
Time to go home. While waiting for a trike ride, one boy was walking behind me. A sampaguita vendor. He says hello and offered his sampaguita flower.
Boy: "Ate, sampaguita. Bilhin mo na lahat 90 pesos para makauwi na ako. Di pa ako kumakain." (Big sis! Buy my sampaguita flowers, take all for only 90 pesos so I can go home. I haven't had lunch yet).
Me: "Hmm, Okay. Where are you from?"
Boy: "Next barangay."
Me: "Where is your mother?"
Boy: "In the house taking care of my siblings."
Me: "Alrighty, you go home and eat. I'll take your sampaguitas. Please be careful and be good to your siblings and your mother."
Boy: "Thank you, ate."
Me: "Wait, can we have a picture together?"
Boy: (smiled)
I just made a new friend. I wanted to get him some food but I don't have a car, I was carrying a lot of stuff and I have my daughter with me waiting for a ride home under the sun. He was nice and polite. It breaks my heart seeing young kids like these. I hope next time, I could do more. Bless their innocent hearts.

So sweet. Thank you, @glorimarbolivar
I know you're one good woman too.

I am glad that you could collaborate with that child, I had a similar scene yesterday with a girl while I was pouring gasoline into the car, I gave some food to the girl, in my country many parents send their children to ask for money in ages where they should be studying and doing other activities. P.D. beautiful mother and beautiful daughter
