ULOG #005: Concrete Pouring

in #ulog6 years ago

Hello agaiiiin! First thing in the morning that caught my eye is the concrete slab pouring in tower 4.

The mechanism of the pumpcrete is awesome and the result of the pouring was satisfying!

In this picture you can see another machine for pouring concrete slabs. It is harder to use than the pumpcrete.

And of course, there are surveying again to check the elevations of the finished concrete slab

And I formally introduce the tower crane, everyone! Though we can't climb it because engineers are not allowed to 😂
image

Then we went to Tower 1, for the checking of the CHB walls (concrete hallow blocks) and for the tubes too

This picture is what the workers called "burdilyo". It is the spacing for different elevations of slab for pouring.

Then we went to inspect corner bars. Corner bars are supports for obviously, corners hahaha. To protect the corners from going down.

Now in this picture, you can see a man holding an apparatus that ignites acetylene flame. Acetylene can destroy the properties of steel in an instant so it can be cut easily. Though, it can destroy the whole steel so it is not necessarily used for the steels of beams. In this case, it is only used the sheet piles for holding the ground.

And over here is a picture of the framework of a staircase for the entrance

And views of the site from tower 2

After lunch, we went to tower 2 and this is what the workers are doing after we arrived. They are removing the steelbars because there must not be a column in that place. It was a large error that caused a delay.
image

Aside from that, the rain poured heavily, and some operations stop except the steel operations. We went to tower 1 and waited for the rain to stop.

And then we went back to the office, pack our things up and that concludes our day for today! Last two days at the operation department! Thank you for reading :)
