Dear Diary: Sweet Cereals Tastes Like Candy But I Needed Calories
This is a "Cheerios" cereal, it will be one of my food choices until it lasts. It tastes like candy and indeed delicious because it is sweet and it has a characteristic nutty taste of cornmeal that is toasted in the pan. At least it is nutritious and has fiber too which I think is insignificant if would eat only this.
I just bought this one in the intention of getting calories because I am finding it hard to eat for months now. Drinking fluids too is a problem because I get filled-up easily (waterlogged), partly because of the relatively cooler weather now as it was raining all the time and partly because I am quite waterlogged and my nurses wouldn't want to take out more fluids from me during dialysis because my blood pressure always crashes.
This cereal is not good to eat especially for children, it is so sweet and it will definitely spoil their taste buds. And what about my taste buds? Well it is bitter that is why I just spent money for this kind if food. Now I will just mix and match this cereal with my Muesli and my other cereal so I won't get bored with the taste.
If I were to choose not to eat and stay fresh and energetic I would chose so because food just makes me feel good somewhat temporarily because since I am a dialysis patient eating foods has a drawback. If you eat the wrong foods at the wrong amounts and time you will feel not good afterwards.
That is why eating is stressful for me now that I knew already that I am lactose intolerant and gets diarrhea with eating sweets in big quantities. That is why I just don't eat too much sweets like hard candies while these sweet cereals I am eating may be sweet but eating it in recommended allowance per meal can benefit me.
So there is always a guilt in my mind when I eat foods because of the after-effects like toxin build-up in the body which makes me feel uncomfortable and ill. So I must keep in mind the restrictions in my diet, follow what is the right diet for me, and stay nourished because of my current medical condition especially for my bones and heart.
There is also a lot of salt in Cheerios.
Look delicious.. And also healthy as u mention above..
