My recent Ulogs are about how I am working to manifest money so that my son @bxlphabet and I can keep going, stay in our homes, and succeed. Please follow along to witness my success.

Here are the projects I’m working on and steps I have taken since my last Ulog. I’m glad to tell you I feel more upbeat than I did when I wrote that one.

"Your Weight Loss Journey: Winning the Food Fight" – My New Book to Publish

The book was been “almost ready” for years. The last thing to happen with it was I got my son @bxlphabet to proofread. He likes the book, gave edits, and put one comment at the top that stopped me and blocked me from going on:

This is really dense, Mom. So much material to digest!

I know he is right and this led to all kinds of distractions and efforts to “un-dense-ifly” the book. Well, now I’m looking at it with a fresh eye and seeing how I can do better to help people.

When someone is overwhelmed about what do do for weight loss, the last thing they need is to be overwhelmed by my book!

Weight Loss Coaching

I am setting up my files better to offer weight loss coaching and going in the direction of food since that is the book I am working on right now.

The first section of the book is a Quick Start Guide so that people can get going right away before reading the entire book. What follows here, is a little bit of that.

I know from my own experience and from those I have helped, that we do not think too much about food when we are obese. This surprises thin and healthy people who pretty much always keep on top of what they are eating. They know what is in their food, and what is good or bad for them to eat.

Obese people are in hiding about their food and trying not to think about it. We hide when we eat because we think others are watching and judging us, and sometimes they are. We go on fads without thinking, we try random ideas for a day, or a week, or a month. But we really do not know what we are doing at all.

My first step only asks the person I am coaching to identify a few food problems they think they have. I get two responses. Either the person has no ideas at all about what is wrong, or they have a long list.

In this first step, I’m trying to get them to mention a few areas they feel are not right. I’m not asking them to stop anything now. I’m simply finding out where their head is.

Here are some answers I have gotten to this part of the course:

  • I eat too much.
  • I eat late at night.
  • I don't eat breakfast.
  • Everything I eat is bad.

I bring this back to specifics and ask them to describe their daily food or a recent meal. You would be amazed at how many obese people cannot even do that.

The second step is for thoughts they have about improving. Here are some answers I have gotten in the past.

  • I need to go on a liquid diet for at least one year.
  • I need to fast a few times a week.
  • I can start eating [one food only] and then I will lose weight.
  • I need to stop eating.
  • I need to stop eating carbs and go keto.
  • I need to be a vegan.

No wonder people are upset by contemplating change. They have been fooled, like I was, into thinking that everything they are eating is bad. They think nothing short of a miracle will help and that miracle is going to be horrible.

Going through these thoughts with people proves to be very helpful in their efforts to lose weight. I have so many easy, inexpensive, and small changes people can make. Once they take these small steps, they start doing better quickly and can continue with vigor. I've coached families, obese adults and the elderly in live-in situations. It does not take more that a couple of weeks for them to start telling me they feel like a new person and they are excited to continue.

This happened to me. I wrote a blog post 19 days after starting these slow changes and had lost 15 pounds. I had been trying hard for the prior three years with terrible methods. During that time, I lost 35 pounds and felt awful and hopeless. The difference with small consistent change was profound.

In a nutshell, the principles of my weight loss theory about food contains these ideas:

  • less toxic food in
  • more healthy food in

Just by making a 10% change in both of those areas makes a huge difference quickly. The idea is not to change everything overnight and buy all new food. Instead the more pleasant and successful way to go is to make small changes over time that become new habits.

At a certain point - not too far off in the future - my client or reader will come to a tipping point and accelerate the rate of change. But in the beginning small changes are what matter, and the willingness to do that.

My first book in the "Your Weight Loss Journey" series is about getting over your excuses and being willing to try to change. This is the key to the whole plan. My book has good reviews and sells fairly well. It will do better when the rest of the series is done and published.

My weight loss work and updating it is taking most of my time these days and I feel great expectation of success.

Trufflepig

Do you know @trufflepig? This is a bot that identifies posts that should pay out more that they currently show based on various factors the bot has identified.

One of my posts came out at #11 on the “most undervalued posts” list yesterday. I have been on this list several times before and I am thrilled to be there again. If I get more upvotes out of it remains to be seen, but I am happy to know that my post is “worth more” by the standard of the bot at least.

I feel my biggest mistake on steemit has been poor networking and I have already written a post about that failure. If I did better at that aspect of the platform, I would be in a better position today. The @trufflepig ranking tells me that if I can connect with more active and bigger steemers, maybe they will see the value in my posts and start to upvote them.

Kryptonia

A bright spot in my steeming life is Kryptonia. I am so glad I joined there and count on my friends and connection for upvotes and engagement. Steem/SBD price

Oh Boy! This is hard to watch. Since I count on the money I get from steemit to help pay my bills, the dropping prices are really hurting my ability to succeed. I know the whole crypto space is down right now and that is not helping matters.

Steemdunk

I use @steemdunk for auto voting people I care about supporting, and communities I am part of. The number of posts I vote for automatically has really fallen in the last weeks and is not picking up. I used to fight to keep my power above 90% and now I am waking up close to 100%. This goes for @bxlphabet as well. We vote for some of the same people, but not all. For both of us, many of our friends have disappeared in this time of low steem/sbd prices.

Reaching Out

I mentioned in one of my other posts about reaching out to someone who rejected me the other day. The good news is that this person and I are still talking. This is a morbidly obese person, who wants to lose weight, needs to lose weight, and can afford my coaching. I am sending my quick start information and encouraging him to give it a chance. I know I can help him and I will.

At the same time, I have my coaching offers revised and will soon get them posted to all the places they need to go. I plan to put them on steemgigs as well and hope I can find steemians interested in improving their health with my methods. I have already posted my Canva offer there, so I know how to post a steemgig now.

Oh my son! The biggest regret of my life is that my obesity caused his ptsd. He is continuing to work and trying, but hungry, worried, and stressed out about the future. My idea of manifesting has got him interested, and steemmonsters is keeping him active. Listening to the book “Think and Grow Rich”

Have you heard of this book and have you read it? I had heard of it have never picked it up until a couple of days ago. I wish I would have long ago, but better late than never. This book by Napoleon Hill is recommended for manifesting wealth from your business and is a huge eye-opener for me.

I mentioned my weight loss book to be dense, and this book is even denser! Just about every sentence in it leads to action steps and I am taking them now as best I can. I'm listening to it on You Tube and have gone through it several times now.

I think this book will be a model for my success and can definitely relate to the areas mentioned where I have been doing the wrong things. Out with the old, and in with the new: even though this book was first published in 1937!

This book is rated 5 star at amazon and is published in many versions. Read the reviews for any version and see people discuss about how their lives have been changed. This book is a keeper and I will be reviewing it frequently, and I am putting the some of the principles into action now.

Money Today

Seriously. Things are not going well with manifesting money. I am trying to remain positive, keep working, and keep reaching out. My deadlines for need as seen below are creeping closer and I plan to succeed. My son is counting on me and I am counting on myself, God, and the universe to provide all we need.

Posting on Steemit

I’m still here and still posting 2-4 posts a day. I do not want to stop and lose what I have here, even though it is not lucrative at the moment. I know from past down times, that people who leave and come back do not do well and their inconsistency makes things worse. As I said above, both my son and I are still here and will be as long as we can.
