#ULOG 25: SHAWARMA GOURMET | A must try in town...

From my previous posts you may see I've posted a lot of information about food. Food is life and I would like to take an adventure finding some good food and good restaurants in town or any places which I can taste differently. Whether it is a streetfood or in a restaurant I would always go with it just to taste something else. These months I have been looking after my body if I gained or not, but not totally trying to be more afraid of getting fat due to ingesting lots of food in my body. I do love eating different cuisines and various foods, we just have to choose the healthy ones.
This late afternoon after my SpEd School has ended, @fotografia101 cioncidentally met on the skywalk, she was heading somewhere and I was heading to the office, I told her I was going to grab some food so we decided to find a restaurant to eat and we found an interesting restaurant to stay and eat some.
Shawarma Gourmet is an authentic Lebanese comfort food restaurant which has some branches here in the heart of Cebu City. We have heard Lebanese cuisine, it is actually a Levantine style of cooking that includes lots of vegetables, abundance of whole grains, fruits, starches, and fresh fish, we have eaten Shawarma food in some stalls in the mall but the taste is different compared to the authentic style restaurant. In the Philippines, we have so many common Filipino dishes that we have been eating all along and they were palatable and some our favorites.
When we went inside the restaurant the staff were really friendly and they attended what we wanted to order. We really asked about their specialty and one that people often order. The staff suggested the shawarma wrap, so we tried ordering it.
@fotografia101 and I ordered a Shawarma, mine was beef and she went with chicken, the taste was so great, totally different from some Shawarma stalls here in the city. The meat filling was moist, the wrap had a slight crisp and the ingredients were way better serving, lots of onions, tomatoes and their special sauce in it. This was the best Shawarma I've had ever.
For the greens, I really wanted to munch some green leafy vegetables and I was looking for it and there it was in front of me, this “Tabouleh Salad” was smiling at me, it wanted to be noticed. I've been eating vegetables lately too because I know this can help in our body and it has lots of benfits. The salad has a combination of chopped parsley, tomatoes, onion & burgol, seasoned it with olive oil, lemon and salt. Look how enticing to eat especially to the salad lovers they will definitely be satisfied eating this.
The place was like a modern lebanese style of restaurant, colorful interior design and I think it expresses their culture. You will feel comfortable because the staff were really friendly. We went to our office full packed tummies, so full.
I haven't had burgol in a long time. We used to have that rationed before when we were kids. That salad looks yum!
Everytime I eat beef shawarma, I get stomach upset. There are rare occasions that I don't. Probably because of the way it was served or cooked. Maybe I should try other stores and see what works.

@leeart yes there was burgol actually and the taste was kinda okay haha. beef shwarma is soooo soooo good @leeart , one of my favorites, shawarma! like if i could eat that all day , it's okay for me. no rice? it's okay hahhahaha . you should try other stores to check the difference of their tastes.
Take out ko na lang at kainin sa house haha! Apprehensive talaga ako pag kumakain nyan. We don't have shawarma gourmet here but I believe Turks have beef shawarma? I have been wanting to try it pero nga my stomach haha!

I just hope there would e a branch there sa place niyo soon. yes Turks shawarma are okay but for me if you want the real and original taste of lebanese shawarma, better shawarma gourmet nalang .... it's so easy to grab Turks here kasi yung mall malapit lang sa office namin....
As always, what can I say, impressive photos as always! That was indeed a great day @iamqueenlevita, I was able to exercise (brisk walking) and we were able to eat healthy dishes plus we were able to check the new Starbucks drink.

Yes, well first I must produce, because the situation in my country Venezuela, has made eating a Shawarma, is an anecdote of our past, hehehe luxuries of yesterday
