Happy friday stemians!! Since it's a famday in mideast countries, we prepared everything earlier than the ordinary days. BORTOKALA (orange in english, that's her name) was so busy doing the dishes(kasama kong ETHIOPIAN) while I'm fullhanded taking pictures 🤣.

OH LALA!! 😂😂😜😜(umaga pa lang pero itsurang panggabi na)

She's so cool to ride in every trip I have. (y libog😜)

Now it's MEALTIME for us, we do eat together everyday for she will not eat if I wouldn't. (parang dala2x ko ang kaldero😂).

While we are eating, I noticed the DATE fruit beside her (my workmates side). I asked to hand it over but I was so shocked with her disgusted face looking at me then said "Inti rid kuli haddah?" (you like to eat it in english). I said "YES", because aside from it's yummy taste, it's one of the healthiest fruit I ever know. She just stares at me and keep on eating.

BRIEF FACTS ABOUT THIS DATE FRUIT(from my boss orientation)

⚫Prophet Muhammed said that Ajwah dates grown in the Madina region of Saudi Arabia are from paradise.
⚫Tamr(Arabic), khajoor(Urdu), hurm ah(Turkish) and buah kurma(Indonesian) is a part of Muslim upbringing. They do believe that seven dates a day will keep the doctor away. Seven dates every morning will protect them from poison and witchcraft.
⚫Dates are fat-free, cholesterol-free and sodium-free. They contain vit. A and numerous B complex vitamins necessary for building healthy body tissue and muscle. It also contains minerals like magnesium, iron, phosphorus, copper, calcium and potassium.
⚫One date contains more potassium per weight than a banana. It has a high sugar intake making them MOTHER NATURE CANDY for mortals.
⚫Every Ramadan, Muslims regain their body vigor by nreaking the fast with a date. It is their traditional way to connect and remember their Prophet, which is a spiritual experience for them.
