Refugee:America's Woke Universities Feel Like North Korea

A:I don’t think that’s funny at all; in North Korea 🇰🇵 people have to worship an egomaniac dictator and there’s no food; it’s hell. I’ve graduated from Columbia University and it’s one of the best higher learning institutions in the world in the most vibrant and cognitive diverse places in the world. Graduating from Columbia allowed me to get jobs in some of the most serious organisations in the world: the Federal Reserve Bank and eBay, earning 3 times as much as my dad, who’s doing quite well. You’re becoming more and more unhinged it seems with the sorts of claims you make.

MeYeonmi Park She is so brave, and she is a living legend! However, I think I know the reason why you call her unhinged. It is true that as usual people from the different backgrounds can't understand each other well. If you haven't lived in such a closed and totalitarian society, you are not qualified to critisize her.

On one hand, in a totalitarian country, people have no choice but to obey; on the other hand, in US, people are taught to be against anything. In that sense, they are the same, Ok?

What she means is there should be more compassion and tolerance in our world.

You are a living legend, a heroine! I wish more and more people knew your epic story.

You have gone through a lot of miserable things and survived magically. Now it is the time to let the whole world listen to you! In my mind, you are just like a beautiful butterfly spreading its wings in the wind! Only God knows how hard it is for you to transition from a caterpillar! You are a person with the special mission---to help free the oppressed people! Maybe you don't know your brave spirit has inspired so many people to fight and seek happiness, yet.
